Sharon Grehan-Howes C.Ht

Sharon Grehan-Howes  has an eclectic background. A Second City trained comedian and a critically acclaimed writer and editor, she came to hypnosis early on in her career.

She loved writing and performing--but hated being in front of an audience! She battled severe stage fright for years until a dear friend recommended hypnosis. It worked so well that she used it to overcome writer's block, fear of flying, panic attacks, fear of mice and much more (like the stereotype of comedians she had a lot of "issues"  going on!)

In 2008  after getting hypnotized to deal with her lifelong fear of driving (she got her G-1 a short three weeks after one hypnosis session ) she decided to take some hypnosis courses.  She got so much out of being able to help people with what she learned, she decided to pursue hypnosis professionally.

She got her certification at the University of Toronto  Factor Inwentash Faculty of Social Work where she learned from such esteemed individuals as Dr. Georgina Cannon, Dr. Robert McFaddon and Shawn Gallagher.  She is a member of Uncommon Practitioners and the National Guild of Hypnotists. She has had 5 PATH (Phasal Abreaction Therapeutic Hypnosis), 7 Path  and NLP training.  She also also received certification in the Science of Happiness through the University of California at Berkeley and Mindfulness Training (MBSR) from David Potter of the University of Massachusetts.

Wave Hypnosis specializes in stress relief/ relaxation, smoking cessation and pain management. She has seen great success with her new endeavour  "The Happiness Protocol" workshops aimed at raising baseline happiness rates. This program will soon be available online.
